CHIBOK GIRLS ALERT!!!! 7 Parents Killed By Trauma, More Dying – Medic

Parents-Of-Chibok-Girls x
At least seven of the parents of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls who could not stand the trauma of their daughters’ continuous captivity in the hands of the Boko Haram terrorists have so far died even as more are likely to follow suit, LEADERSHIP finding reveals.

According to a very senior official of the Borno state ministry of health who spoke to our reporter recently, but under strict condition of anonymity because it was not part of his schedule to speak with the press on this matter, most of the parents are currently suffering from cases of post trauma stress disorder (PTSD) and high blood pressure.
The source who had been working in close contact with most of the parents said, though Borno state government had since the abduction provided facilities and resources that would enable the parents and the escaped girls receive both medical and psycho-social counselling, the parents could not still survive their condition due to the failure of security operatives in rescuing the girls.
“Presently we can officially say that at least seven of the parents of the girls, mostly the fathers, have died of trauma, while we have over ten confirmed cases of PTSD and several others who are suffering from trauma-induced hypertension”, said the source.
The source, medical personnel of long years of experience, told LEADERSHIP that there is fear that more of the parents would die because of the news they hear daily about the carnage of the Boko Haram who are supposed to be the ones holding their children.
“We have tried as much as possible to shield the news about Boko Haram insurgents’ attack from those with serious psychological ailment due to the absence of their daughters so that their conditions that we are managing would not worsen, but all to no avail. In fact, one of the women with the worst case of PTSD had severally attempted to commit suicide but we had to prevent her”, the medical personnel added.
